It is with a heavy heart the Nyack Fire Department announce the death of Firefighter David Jahnes on December 18, 2017 while responding to an alarm on North Broadway in Nyack. David joined Nyack Fire Department in 2001 and was a member of Fire Patrol who served as Captain from 2008 to 2011.

Today, as well as the days, weeks, and months ahead please continue to remember Firefighter David Jahnes family, friends, and the Nyack Fire Department community in your thoughts and prayers. Let us always remember and honor the memory of this courageous firefighter.
